My best friend and I decided to take a road trip to Quebec for the weekend, which is only a short 7 hour drive from our hometown of Boston. I had only been to Quebec once before with the French Club in high school, so returning in my twenties was a whole new experience!
For some reason that is simply beyond me, the two times I’ve made the drive to Quebec has been in the middle of February when the average temp is about 12 degrees and the entire city is covered in 2 ft of snow. I guess that’s Canada for you!
Old Quebec is beautiful but it’s very small and the biggest draw for me was the French speaking culture. The main streets are lines with pubs and bars, so there’s definitely a decent nightlife scene, but Old Quebec isn’t the type of destination that will be appealing to everyone.
